Saskatoon Coffee, Calvados Coffee Cocktail

As a Saskatoon founded company we thought for this recipe we would use our Saskatoon coffee and integrate this into a coffee cocktail using locally distilled Saskatchewan whisky such as Last Mountain Distillery and Calvados Apple Brandy.  Perhaps a great choice of coffee would be to use our Liberica bean!  The apple brandy matches exceptionally well with the honey and fruit flavour notes of the liberica.

Coffee, Calvados and Saskatchewan Whisky Coffee Cocktail Recipe

1 1/2 oz Calvados

1 1/2 Canadian Whisky

2 oz Double Shot Chilled Espresso

1/2 oz Maple Syrup

It is optional that you may use pre-chilled espresso.  This will take extra preparation time however limits dilution of your drink.  Pour ingredients and ice into your cocktail shaker and shake for about 15 seconds.  Pour into an old fashioned glass and optional to add ice.  Get creative with the garnish, perhaps you use apple slices integrating with the apple brandy theme.  Optional, rather than using a Canadian maple syrup perhaps experiment with utilizing a local Saskatchewan made honey.  Its always great to support local!
