Liberica Espresso Tequila Cocktail Recipe
LeClair Organics recently made an exceptional liberica espresso tequila cocktail. For this particular coffee cocktail recipe we are utilizing our own Liberica medium roast coffee bean, Casamigos premium tequila, Grand Marnier and our choice of cocktail syrup sweetener. This
The Casamigos Blanco is our tequila of choice of the day for this particular cocktail. This tequila brings aromas of sweet agave and citrus while distinct flavour notes include vanilla and grapefruit. This is an exceptionally smooth tasting premium tequila produced in Jalisco Mexico. This Blanco tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave piñas which are roasted in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours, and aged for 7-9 years before distribution.
Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is a well established recipe from 1880, well over a century old. This French cognac liqueur is composed of 51% cognac and 49% orange liqueur. Aromas of cognac, vanilla, candied & orange are present. There are strong flavour components from the bitter orange essence, while the cognac brings about flavour notes of hazlenut, vanilla & toffee. Utilizing Grand Marnier and tequila has been a longstanding pairing with tequila in Margarita recipes. Grand Marnier has also been associated with a wide variety of arabica coffee cocktails. We are excited to bring about innovative new flavours by parings by Grand Marnier specifically with our Liberica Coffee (coffea liberica) bean.
Our Liberica Coffee Bean is always an exceptional compliment to the Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge and tequila based coffee cocktails. We are founded in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan however the specialty coffee bean is available to order online and is enjoyed across all of Canada.
Cocktail syrups may be chosen per your current availability or the particular emphasis of flavours you want to bring out. As a start you may use a basic simple syrup. If you want to bring out the agave from the tequila perhaps choose an agave syrup instead. For flavour enhancement perhaps order some vanilla syrup or yuzu syrup online from Toronto based Cocktail Emporium. Either will work well based on the overall composition of the drink.
To add body to your cocktail, I quite often enjoy adding an egg white. You will get a nice light foam on the top of the drink and overall added smooth texture. As you can see from the pictures below a nice foam and 3 liberica beans as a garnish. There are also vegan alternatives to egg white will provide the same texture benefits to your cocktails.

Place all ingredients into your cocktail shaker. Mix thoroughly and pour into a 5 oz old fashioned glass. Garnish with 3 liberica beans. You will notice the liberica beans are approximately 1/3 larger than the traditional arabica beans.
