Liberica Coffee Cocktail with Cognac & Antica Formula
The coffee beans come from our Saskatoon founded business, which we particularly chose our Liberica specialty coffee due to its fruit flavour notes. They come with the flavour profile including jackfruit, almond and dark honey.
The Carpano Antica Formula is an exceptional vermouth perfect for a refined and classy cocktail. It is distinctively known for its vanilla qualities. Only the top quality whole vanilla beans from Madagascar, Papua New Guinea and Tahiti are used. Only whole beans are used, and therefore no extracts or artificial derivatives. Made from select Italian grape white wine varieties from from the Romagna, Puglia and Sicily regions. The nose includes a distinctive aroma of vanilla alongside notes of citrus, almond, raisin and clove. Palate includes orange, dates, cocoa beans, vanilla & saffron
The Remmy Martin VSOP brings an exceptional aroma of vanilla due to the ageing process in oak casks. Flavour notes include vanilla, ripe apricot, baked apple with subtle fig and oak. Tasting notes include a a complexity of fruits and subtle licorice. This “eaux-de-vie” particularly sourced from only the fines vineyards of the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions.
Liberica Coffee Cognac & Carpano Antica Cocktail Recipe:
1.5 oz Remmy Martin VSOP Cognac
1 oz Carpano Antica Formula
2 oz Two freshly pulled and chilled liberica espresso shots
1 egg white or vegan alternative
3 liberica bean garnish
Ideally have your glass pre-chilled and use an old fashioned glass or 5oz capacity equivalent. Mix ingredients with ice in your cocktail shaker. Pour and double strain into your old fashioned glass. Place your 3 liberica beans on top as a garnish. The teardrop shape of the beans have a noticeable different appearance versus the average oval arabica beans. Optional per sweetness preference, you may add sugar, simple syrup or a vanilla syrup.
